Lets use the hardship money
Derby City Council has been given £1.4m to address financial hardship in the city, and almost £600k is still to be distributed, what is not distributed by end of March 2022 has to be returned to the government.
Derby Council have been less generous and applies more restrictive qualifications for the support grants than some other councils.
We call on Derby City Council to stop being stingy and unfair by addressing hardship whereever it occurs by publicising the grants and being generous to those that need it. Use the money in Derby now, don't return it.
