Housing beyond Havenbaulk

Land either side of Rykneld Road between existing housing and the city boundary has been kept for future housing for many years. The area nearly got planning approval ten years or so ago. Developers are now looking at plans for this area again. They held a public consultation event at the Heatherton Community Centre at the beginning of July. There is information available at www.rykneldroad-heatherton.co.uk or email consultation@rykneldroad-heatherton.co.uk to complete a survey before 21st July.

Path to be closed for new bridges

The footpath alongside the Hell Brook from Callow Hill Way to Sedgemoor Way (near Heatherton Pond) is to be closed for about five weeks while two new foot bridges are built over the brook. These will connect this path with other paths being built in Highfields Farm giving more choice and options for walkers.

Littleover in Bloom

Littleover in Bloom are again working hard to brighten up Littleover Village and nearby areas. Could you help? More helpers are needed to plant flowers and keep beds weeded (training given!) Also money for supplies. Contact Jan Jackson on 348903 or jan.dante@virgin.net

Next Littleover Neighbourhood Forum

The next Littleover Neighbourhood Forum is expected to be on Wednesday 18th September at 7 for 7:15 at Carlyle Infant School on Carlisle Avenue.

Contact 888725 or email jonathan.till@derbyhomes.org to ask to go on the list for future agendas. The police and local councillors attend to answer questions and provide updates.

Jitty to Old Hall Road

The new houses at the end of Oak Close off The Hollow are built at a higher level than the old allotments.

Cllr Lucy Care has asked for the building waste below the new wall to be removed. She hopes that the appearance of the new wall can be improved, maybe by planting.

Where and when would suit you?

For the last few years Littleover councillors have held three surgeries most months, when people can come with their questions or ideas. They have been on first Thursday mornings at the Constable Drive Methodist Church and on second Saturday mornings in Littleover Village and then by Heatherton shops.

Is it time for a change? Do get in touch with your ideas for the next year. Contact details are on the back.
