Rykneld Road works

Severn Trent have just begun relining the water supply pipes along Haven Baulk Lane. They will be doing similar work on Rykneld Road during the summer.

Eastwood Drive gap

The Council has built a queuing lane in the Manor Road centre reservation at the end of Eastwood Drive. This gap is used by people U-turning to reach the nearby shops and Constable Lane. Cllr Lucy Care has asked the Council to check that satnav operators know that Eastwood Drive is a 20mph road and shouldn't be used as a cut-through.

Let's get it right!

Where Callow Hill Way crosses into Highfields Farm the road dips just where the path crosses. Preetinder Butter has emailed the Council showing the problem. She has asked for this to be corrected before the road is handed over so that puddles aren't left here after rain.

Building off Leslie Close

Planning permission has been given for 92 new homes between the Leslie Close estate and the Hell Brook (by the footpath past Littleover Community School. Work is due to start very soon. Local councillors have already been in touch with developers. They hope that issues like traffic routes, access through the site and layout of the offsite open space can be discussed with local people.
