Nearly £2000 has already been donated by local people to support this bus. Thank you to everyone who's helped. If fund-raising continues - and passenger numbers continue to grow - the 35 bus will be running through September and beyond.

The 35 is the only direct bus between Littleover and Mickleover. It goes to Tesco, Iceland, the Co-op, Aldi and the city centre. It also passes two doctors' surgeries, and dentists' and the Royal Derby Hospital, so there are lots of reasons for people to use it.

The bus is a lifeline for elderly and disabled people living on parts of the route. As David Sheppard from Bretton Avenue said "Older people need this bus. Without it they'd be scuppered. Many people can't reach another bus and taxis are really expensive."

On Thursday 6th September at 6pm at Littleover Methodist Church on Constable Drive there will be a meeting to discuss how to support the bus longer term. All are welcome.

You can also donate to a dedicated fund being held by Derby City Council. You can donate through the Council's "pay it" page, www.derby.gov.uk/pay-it/ by sending a cheque, made out to "Derby City Council" with '35 bus' written on the back, to any member of the Focus Team, or get in touch.
