Hartland Drive being resurfaced

August 28, 2018 1:34 PM

Hartland Drive road surface is being reconstructed and resurfaced. The work begins during the week starting Tuesday 28th August and it is expected to take about 4 weeks to do. The work will cover the whole of Hartland Drive from Instow Drive to Staunton Avenue / Freeman Avenue.

This road repair scheme was chosen by your Liberal Democrat councillors Ruth Skelton and Joe Naitta together with residents who attend the Blagreaves Neighbourhood Forum.

The contractors working on behalf of Derby City Council are Thomas Bow Ltd. They will be working from 8am - 6pm each day. This includes weekends too, if needed. Hartland Drive will be closed for the duration of the work. The contractors will do their best to make sure residents of Hartland Drive, Oadby Rise and Blaby Close will have access to their properties. If you need to get on or off your driveways at particular times, it is advisable to give the workers a bit of advance notice of this so they can make arrangements for you.

You will be well aware that Hartland Drive is part of the route for the Arriva Bus service 5A. It will be diverted along Sunnyhill Avenue, turn left onto Stenson Road, up the hill and then left into Instow Drive and continue on its normal route.

If you have any issues or questions, we are here to help. Just contact us by email or phone - here's our contact details. Road works do cause some disruption, but hopefully this will be kept to a minimum.
