Hospital Trees

Some of the protected trees along the south side of the Royal Derby site are being cut back this autumn. Most were planted to help block the view of the new hospital from the houses. These should continue to be managed in future.

Rykneld Road pavement

The builders should have completed the pavement in front of the new(ish) houses towards Highfields Farm before people moved in. The Council is to take enforcement action to get this work done.

Cllr Lucy Care says "I'm told a new member of staff who'll do this is starting in November."
