Tom Bull with some recycling binsIndependent analysis has shown that Labour's Brown Bin Tax seems to be wasting council tax money.

Labour's Brown Bin Tax took away residents' garden waste bins. It was meant to save the council money.

However, it has emerged that it is instead likely to be costing the council more money instead - while providing a worse service for local residents and reducing recycling levels.

Campaigner Thomas Bull said "This scheme is a backwards move not only for the people of Derby, but also for the environment too.

"It's another sign of Labour's incompetence - they try to save money, but end up probably spending more on a worse service.

"The Liberal Democrats have campaigned to reverse this Brown Bin tax, saving you money and helping the environment."
