A campaign to allow buses to stop at The Morledge will be debated at the next meeting of Derby City Council.

Liberal Democrat Councillors have submitted a motion calling on the Council to ensure that buses will be allowed to drop passengers off at the redesigned Morledge.

Lib Dem Cllr Bob Troup who is proposing the motion said "When the Lib Dems led the council plans were developed that would allow buses to stop at The Morledge.

"Unfortunately the Council's new Conservative leadership have removed spaces for buses to stop at The Morledge.

"Many people who use the numbers 28, 29 and 33 buses want the choice to be able to be dropped off at The Morledge. I and my Lib Dem colleagues have collected many petitions from people who use these bus services and I hope the council's Conservative leadership will listen to their concerns and support our motion."
